Completed the half part of anaesthesiology & opthalmology! 3 months to final year! 3 subjects to go! and i believed its not a short period! memang tak percaya!

im little bit stress in this posting! i dont know why! lots of things happened sepanjang this posting! and yet my basic in pre clinical is considered poor! ive been struggled in this so called short posting. but alhamdulillah half part is over!

Opthalmology is something that looks small but with that minute things, there are lots of thing you can find it! eyes is the window of our organs!(betu ker nih) but honestly, im not so into this area! and watcing the eye surgery drives me crazy! unless you love to deal with jelly jelly things! kecik nyer mata kita nih! and they exactly macam jelly! bila tgk surgery.oh god! and for sure i mmg cannot stand with that! for me say no to fine surgeries! but still its an interesting posting! tak boleh bayangkan hidup tanpa melihat dunia yang indah ini! (credits to model; fini)

what i can really learn in aneasthesiology is standing in between of medicine and surgery! thinnking like physicians and working like the surgeons! but what i really dislike in this posting is you dont really have your own patient in the clinic! except the extreme patient in the intensive care unit!and yet they dont really talk as they are highly dependant to machines patients! you know how much i love to talk! tak sangup nak tgk patient kat dalam ICU! sedih sangat! bukan ajer orang tua, but paling kesian if little baby and kids in the ICU. sedih sangat!

and we do learned about little bit of technical parts dealing with the machines and how they works!

Intubating is not as simple as i thought! and again the tv programme cheated me! huhu! and i'm traumatised when there is injuries on my patients throat when i intubated him. but thank god he is not awake!

GP Posting

Just completed my 32 hours of Private GP posting somewhere in Ampang! What can i say..i was not lucky enough! yup! i was really disappointing with my choice! ive been contemplated to choose GP as there were few selections. i dun mind of travelling hence i chosed to be in Ampang hoping i could gain the best experience but i was totally dissapointed! why? there was not enough patient! can you imagine we've been waiting 5 hours but there was not even a single patient! ccan you imgine how suffered we were waiting nd craving for patients! The good part was we had enthusiastic doctor who is non stop sharing and teaching his experiences! the difficulties and obstacle! the reality and the hustle and bustle of life! lots of advices and informative career guide as future reference! but things happened for a reason! be grateful and strive for the best in the future! His experience in paediaric Institute was really marvellous and i pity myself for not seeing lots of cases during the paeds posting in HPJ! I always wonder am i able to be a good health practitioner in the near future as im aware of imnot being equipped with good experienced and lacking of knowledge! come on boss! plase gear up your effort! you have nothing to wait!

MCH Postings

being in Dengkil is really great. I love the cinic environment as i used to KK setting back in hometown! i love the people and one of the most touching part, my O&G patient still remembered me.

Honestly i fell so bad! i tried to recall the mother and towards the the end i could remmeber her! whatever it is, it was really touching moment(over plak) how they really appreciate you and get to know you by their heart! thats the beauty of the settings!

OPD Posting

1 week of duty service in bangi was also great. managed to meet with few familiar faces. lots of mom's friend! haha. tak sangka plak kan! what a small world! i do enjoy during the attachment at the treatment room! ive seen lots of cases and thats challenged my knowledge! another one week of consultation before end of posting! Oh god! I almost forgetting my Ortho! Then off to Lumut! !

And ive been busy with new unexpected things in my life! ive learned that its not easy to satisfy everyone regardless you've done your very best and pushing your limits! the reality is sux! and new word i really like to qoute " friends are just another phase of life" it has lots of meaning behind it! yup! honestly i really disappointed with some of my friend i thought they are really my friend! again.. friend is just another phase of life!

this week i received medical related question via various type of communication! how lucky we are now to have various acces of communication! cant imagine living in those old daysssss

Case 1 (via yahoo messenger)

My friend's mother had a symptom of stroke as he described the same symptom the her mother had previously. but her mother refuse for hospital treatment! Then he asked me what is the best can he do at that situations?

Case 2 ( via phone)

my cousins give me a call to ask my opinion wether should she take this pain killer instead of taking other type of pain killer.

Case 3 ( via short messaging system)

My former teacher sms asking about his own condition. he had chest pain which is worsen on sternous activities associated with headache. he asked what he should do?

My answer: some circumstances i managed to share within my limited knowledge but other important situation that i dont know how to handle(cewahhh bajet tul) my advice was pls drop by to the nearest clinic. that will be the best solution! i cant be someone yang suka tunjuk pandai coz this involve people lives and thats my responsibility to tell the truth and what i'm supposed to do! ( i cant imagine my first night oncall) that will be the nightmare!

Conclusion;Ya Allah! I'm not ready for all this yet! seriously! yeah i know im already in the 4th year but i'm scared. im not ready for this! the sign has come! time is running out! takutnyerrr. on other points of view, i felt so honoured coz they put their trust on me! but i'm not a doctor...not yet a houseman....

(2 months of orthopaedic is almost over! clinical exam will be in next week and theory will be 21st May 09) yess i'm scareddd short and long term!

i'm not a carpenter but i might become part timer carpenter! This is what ill be experienced and facing for this two solid month! full of fractures and 90% are caused by motorcyclist! take note those who rides motorbikes. it may caused unexpected injury to you! and you cant imagine how bad the injury you may come across! and can you imagine lying flat on the bed with those unwanted casts or wires, and sumtimes very weirdy antenna. please please and please. Last week, I had a family trip with my father and brother to Pekanbaru in Provinsi Riau.. it was a nice trip with my cousin and apparently i'm among the youngest in the group. The buildings architecture at Pekanbaru was really cool despite i was told that the Pekanbaru town is about Kuala Pilah size however, we were wrong as the population reached 2 millions. Surprisingly the Riau people spoke Malay fluentlyand the slang is almost like us. when we reached there we just got to know many of them are Malays instead of java or any other ethnics of Indonesian and some hsitory of Kerajaan Johor-Riau-Siak etc may explained bout the population there. and people here love to go to Melaka since it took only 6 hours journey by ferry (flight to Pekanbaru only took about 30 minutes.jauh lagik Kelantan tau) and i manage to took few shots of the city since i wasnt comfortable due to my leg was damn painful and swollen. not really enjoy the trip but it was fun getting to know more about my aunties and cousins who is their age around my parents! (",)

I had Plantar Fasciitis!

Planatar Fasciitis is an inflammation caused by excessive stretching of the plantar fascia, the broad band of fibrous tissue which runs along the bottom surface of the foot, attaching at the bottom of the heel bone and extending to the forefoot. When the plantar fascia is excessively stretched, this can cause plantar fasciitis, which can also lead to heel pain, arch pain, and heel spurs.

Plantar Fasciitis often leads to heel pain, heel spurs, and/or arch pain. The excessive stretching of the plantar fascia that leads to the inflammation and discomfort can be caused by the

Over-pronation (flat feet) which results in the arch collapsing upon weight bearing
A foot with an unusually high arch
A sudden increase in physical activity
Excessive weight on the foot
Improperly fitting footwear

Over-pronation is the leading cause of plantar fasciitis. Over-pronation occurs in the walking process, when a person’s arch collapses upon weight bearing, causing the plantar fascia to be stretched away from the heel bone. With Plantar Fasciitis, the bottom of your foot usually hurts near the inside of the foot where the heel and arch meet. The pain is often acute either first thing in the morning or after a long rest, because while resting the plantar fascia contracts back to its original shape. As the day progresses and the plantar fascia continues to be stretched, the pain often subsides.

Finale of the season 3. wah! (belom abes agi as theory will be on monday) Paediatric posting is our finale posting in our third year. and it is mix feeling to end the season as we had finished 5 major postings in our third year and we will be having another major posting rotations in our final year. Insha Allah. today was my clinical exam with Dr.Norizan. our group was scheduled to have exam this week since dr.Norizan will be no longer here and will be back to her hometown( kepada nurin..habislah korang..hehehe) since we have to deal with kids and babies, sumtimes its hard to attract them. so the only solutions that we had is having the toys with us. so we decided to buy toys for our patient! Lukily we found one at hospitals kiosk shop. we bought lorries for our kids. (",)

while i performing the examination, he was sleeping! then he suddenly wake up and starting to meragam.ayooo sumpah cuak giler and tak tau nak wat camner. trying to pujuk with the toy but still not in the good mood. but i guess the examiner understand the situations.

my performance was quite okay and alhamdulillah i managed to answer the questions but definately banyak lobang sana sini. history was smooth as i did two write up about febrile fit and presented twice for the case. but ada jugak lah tak ingat but i hope i did well and scored for the paper since theory mesti susah giler. one down and one to go. so i hope i managed to answer the theory on Monday. pray for me kay.. no more crying babies and chumel chumel kids after this. a relief?..huhuhu

Titian As Sirat adalah jambatan yang merentangi neraka menuju ke syurga itu bersifat fleksibel. Ia boleh membesar, mengecil, memendek dan memanjang mengikut kumpulan yang akan melintasinya. Jika orang beriman, pastilah ia akan melebar dan memendek. Manakala bagi orang kafir, ia akan mengecil dan memanjang. Antara yang akan turut berarak menuju ke syurga ialah kaabah. Malaikat datang membawa perintah Allah kepada kaabah yang dihias indah pada hari itu supaya bergerak menuju ke syurga. Yang menghairankan, biarpun kaabah tahu itu perintah Allah, namun ia enggan bergerak. Lalu malaikat bertanya kenapa enggan bergerak ke syurga. Kaabah menjawab bahawa ia tidak akan bergerak ke syurga melainkan jika diiringi oleh semua manusia yang pernah tawaf di sekelilingnya. Lalu malaikat mengumpulkan semua yang pernah tawaf untuk mengiringi kaabah ke syurga. Kaabah terus mendiamkan diri tak mahu bergerak. Malaikat bertanya lagi kenapa tak mahu bergerak.Kaabah menjawab, ada lagi beberapa orang yang tidak hadir. Apabila diperiksa, rupa-rupanya orang-orang berkenaan telah dilempar ke dalam neraka kerana kesalahan yang pernah mereka lakukan di dunia.Malaikat maklumkan bahawa orang berkenaan adalah orang-orang yang berdosa dan perlu disiksa di dalam neraka. Kaabah berkata, ia tidak peduli orang itu berdosa atau tidak. Yang penting ia tidak akan bergerak ke syurga melainkan diiringi oleh semua orang yang pernah tawaf di sekelilingnya. Malaikat mengadu kepada Allah tentang hal yang berlaku.... Allah yang Maha Pengampun dan Maha Mengasihani terus mengisytiharkan bahawa orang-orang itu telah diampunkan dosa mereka.Mereka lantas di bawa keluar daripada neraka dan mengiringi kaabah menuju ke syurga....

1. I went to Klinik Desa Pulau Meranti (it is not a pulau) which is a neighbourhood kampung of Cyberjaya.

2. In other word Cyberjaya is like a bandar in the kampung or Pulau meranti is the kampung di dalam bandar either or. apa apa pun Pulau Meranti wujud dahulu sebelum Cyberjaya kan. .

3. The session was short but i realized that it is very important component posting as we have to observed the routine checkup for the children. The immunization programme in our country has been introduced since 1950s is such a beautiful programme and we should be grateful to be born in this country.

4. I called Farid and Alhamdulillah he is currently in a good conditions and still under rehabs. he is lucky as he cant remember anything about the tragedy and he is not in trauma at all. I pray that he can continue with his flying.

5. Oh ya, since this is our last posting for the third year, in the evening we had a sesions with the deputy dean about our next year programme. there will be 4 rotations next year; orthopaedics,psychiatry,family medicine & special postings (opthamology, ENT, anaesthesiology & traditional complementary medicine).

6. New group list for year 4 was announced as well. the group has been reshuffle and i had new faces of group mate which i had never any experiences working together before except for Fini, Nadia MK, Amran, (Year 3) & Kerker (Year 1 & 2). I think this is the oppurtunity for me to get to know more people in my batch.

7. I'll be starting with orthopaedics posting in end of January 09, not to forget two months of research in December and January.

8. New group new, new hope, and new dreams ( hello paeds tak abes lagik kotttt)

9. Next things to be done; packing for hari raya.

10. meanwhile, i am busy with our Young Mercy Project in Kedah. more works and an efficient time management is very important

yesterday had buka puasa with husna,fini,kak juns, fina, jati, bulbul, haris, memer and zaimi at McD seri Kembnagan after our reunion meeting finished almost 7 pm. no idea where to eat but fini insist to have McD. and all of us went there. thanks to zaimi for the coupun. i had mass iftar. 2 mc chicken, bubur, sundae chocolate, fires, and pow bulbul's chicken. hehe. McD has no buffet which i never missed two years ago.

late night called ihsan and had jalan jalan merentas kuala lumpur tanpa arah dan tujuan. then we had A&W as it was such long time i'm not having the root beer and the a&w usj is such a good memories to me. then caled pai and had another minum minum at mamak. everything was on Ihsan that night. then we headed to pai's house and had another chit chat again and again. i took the old album during our time in koleq and yet i saw this pix. it was taken in the end of 2003 before the SPM.hahaha. i snap the pix using my phone thats why the quality was not really good.(pai silalah scan semua gambar dolu dolu)huhuhu

last week i had ward rounds in Damansara and we came across with this little poor boy who had dextrocardia (the heart is in the right zone.normal people's heart is on our left zone)with mutiple abormality and the prognosis was poor. poor little cute boy. just pray for the best for him.

MB Terengganu lawat selepas Mohd Farid selamat jalani pembedahan kaki KUALA

TERENGGANU: Juruterbang pelatih Pusat Latihan Penerbangan HM Aerospace (HMA) yang cedera parah dalam nahas pesawat terhempas di kawasan hutan Bidong Rabu lalu, selamat menjalani pembedahan di kedua belah kakinya di Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah (HSNZ), kira-kira jam 10 pagi, semalam. Pembedahan yang memakan masa hampir empat jam itu dianggap berjaya dan Mohd Farid Abdullah, 21, yang turut cedera di kepala dan muka itu dilaporkan dalam keadaan stabil.

Menteri Besar, Datuk Ahmad Said dan isteri, Toh Puan Norliza Mahmud yang menziarahi mangsa nahas pesawat ringan dari Sungai Buloh, Selangor itu, berkata Mohd Farid masih lemah, namun keadaannya stabil. "Doktor memberitahu keadaan Mohd Farid stabil dan Alhamdulillah beliau selamat menjalani pembedahan di kedua-dua kaki. "Saya dimaklumkan, dalam tempoh dua atau tiga hari lagi beliau akan menjalani satu lagi pembedahan di pipi berhampiran mata kirinya," katanya.

Sementara itu, ibu Mohd Farid, Safiah Omar, 48, bersyukur dan gembira kerana anaknya selamat menjalani pembedahan dan berterima kasih kepada Menteri Besar yang sudi meluangkan masa menziarah anak lelakinya itu. "Mohd Farid masih lemah. Saya sempat beritahu dia Menteri Besar datang melawat dan dia mengangguk tanda faham walaupun tidak mampu bercakap. "Walaupun Mohd Farid melalui pengalaman ngeri dalam kemalangan itu, dia seorang yang kuat semangat. "Saya yakin kejadian menimpanya tidak akan melemahkan semangatnya untuk mengejar cita-cita yang diidamkan sejak berumur tiga tahun untuk menjadi juruterbang," katanya.

Rabu lalu, pesawat dinaiki juruterbang pelatih Mohd Farid Abdullah, 21, dan Mohd Ariff Ahmad Fuad, 20, dikesan hilang dari radar kira-kira jam 5 petang selepas berlepas dari Lapangan Terbang Sultan Mahmud (LTSM), di sini untuk melakukan latihan penerbangan. Menara kawalan kemudian memaklumkan kehilangan pesawat itu kepada polis sebelum operasi mencari digerakkan di hutan Bidong. Operasi mencari membabitkan polis, Jabatan Pertahanan Awam, Pasukan Gerakan Am dan orang kampung akhirnya menemui bangkai pesawat terbabit di kawasan hutan itu, 100 meter dari Lapang Sasar Polis DiRaja Malaysia kira-kira jam 7.15 pagi yang membawa kepada penemuan mayat Mohd Ariff di tempat duduk dalam pesawat. Allahyarham Mohd Ariff dipercayai meninggal di tempat kejadian 12 jam sebelum ditemui disyaki akibat hentakan kuat dan kecederaan parah di kepala. Mohd Farid pula ditemui lapan meter dari bangkai pesawat dan mengalami cedera parah di kepala dan muka selain patah kaki kiri

We had jalan jalan last night.touring the Melaka city. Mahkota Parade, then Dataran Pahalawan Jonker street. the girls planned to find baju for the Post Posting Party. Fini and Juna at first waited for us at Jonker Street but towards the end they went back home since we didint arive. and guess what took us so long? besides the girl looking for their dress me nadia and memer (asasian :P) saw one camera jamban shop and decided to take picture. nadia are so expert with the camera jamban. apa lagik. picca pica pica and all the decoration exclusively from memer and memer was the one who pijak the camera foot pedal which never count to snap the pix. so berlambaklah gambar yang tak jadik.so silly.. then proceed to Jonker street and we end up caught in the rain. basah kuyup semua orang. great night but exam is just around the corner.takuttt

we had borak borak while completing our final case write up of this posting and we incidentally found one of the most valueable information/data. towards the end of the discussion me, memer and fini had agreed to classified what we had found. this is the information that we had found

1. the 'thing' is only can be found among the pioneer batch of cucms
2. the thing is currently can only be found in Melaka near the beach.
3. the thing is expected to be in east coast this weekend
4. the thing was born sumwhere in the east coast of penisular
5. the thing also used to be in australia for a long time ago
6. the thing gender is female
7. the thing was born in 1984
8 the thing is among the top 5 of elderly lady in cucms
9. the thing is found to be single and not known to have any spouse yet

Within two month we have another patient who passed away in front of us. Maybe to compare with other places, death is everyday and sumtime you will ignore it. but here in our place, its different. we are so close with our patient. eventhough we have been warn by Dr. AAA to keep the professionalism between the patient and doctors relationship but evetytime we treated our patient like our own family members.and i believed that we are always sincere in helping our patients and in addition we knew here for a long time since in our medical posting. We did the resucitate and today i was holding the ambu bag while others performed the CPR. but Allah loves her very much. Today i learned that performing the CPR needs lots of energy..

Surgery orgasm?

Time flies. Pejam celik pejam celik, tak sangka i was already in the 6th week of the surgical posting. another two weeks to go. so i have another two week to be in terendak and roughly about one week for the final exam. cepat nyer maser. and i cant tell how much i love the posting. definately its not as touugh as medicine which everything under the skies. can you imagine how i'm suffer in the medical. but surgery is more likely specific and straight forward. The history taking was totally different with the medicine but you can adapt yourself as you go along the posting. The most common cases you can find here are hernia, breast mass, renal calculi, lumps and motor vehicle accident are also covered by the surgical team.. and yet my anatomy still sucks as well physio. everytime when the lecturer tanyer semua orang mata terkebil kebil nak recall anatomy. terasa sangat bersalah terhadap prof nasa. last friday i had another chance to scrub in. and the experience was really realy great.

me in the action. it was not easy as you see. but perfoming the surgery by yourself(ceh perasan buat sendiri konon) really make you understand more and more and definately you will remember for the rest of your life.

With the guidance from the great surgeon Dr. Azlan. It is great to know him and people here love him a lot. he is superb not only in surgery but you can ask anything. his knowledge on general knowledge was really really awesome. he can talk about politics, socials and many things. and sometime you can get influenced by him.

While i'm still doing the job, others who observed are busy with photos. thanks to qeyla for the pix. we entered the laparoscopy cholecytectomy last week (an operation of removing the gallbladder without opening your abdomen but only using the camera- such high technology that you cant imagine as i was melopong to see throughout the procedures.) Qeyla was the person who was holding the camera. and now she is so obsese with herself becoming the camerawoman.

and after we had completed te surgery. and now i really understand what lies behind the surgery orgasm (",)

i enjoy lots of time in Melaka. since there were only two groups are here, hence many activities can be done eficiently. this including we stayed in one building. i really miss my time in hostel and campus life. thats the beauty of staying together hence we can do lots of thing. last week we had water polo organized by Prof Latif but with a rules and regulation. it was really havoc and even we managed to halau few people who already in the pool. kejam giler
